>A Thought from Pastor Rick on January 2012 Prayer Emphasis Month...

Every January, the focus at the Beacon Hill Baptist Church is prayer. We like to get the year started off in a positive way here at The Hill. Each Sunday during the month, I will a series of messages aimed at strengthening the prayer lives of our membership, beginning with a look at Matthew 6, and the Lord's Prayer, Entitled "Starting Off the New Year the Right Way...With Prayer".

We believe that prayer changes things, and that there are so many people in our area who need serious change in their lives. The church is praying that we will be able to reach more people who need to change their way of life for the better.

In January of 2011, we began a special community prayer, praying especially for our families, friends, neighbors and acquaintances that make up our Jerusalem, as described in Acts 1:8, who live on the 22 streets which make up the Beacon Hill sub-division where our church is located, as well as those who live on 23 other South Suburban and Chicago streets where our members live outside of the local subdivision.

During 2012, in addition to praying, it is our plan to actually hit the streets to interact and evangelize each of those 45 streets, one street at a time. If you consider yourself to be a prayer warrior, would you please join us in prayer for these 45 streets for the remainder of the month of January, and throughout the year?

Even if you don’t live on one of these streets, but would like for the church and I to touch and agree with you in prayer, please feel free to send me a status update or a personal message via Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/groups/122347104448589/  or, send an e-mail to: askingforprayer@beaconhillbaptistchurch.org .

I expect that there will soon be some praise reports coming forth as a result of this special month of prayer!!

Blessings,
Pastor Rick
